Side completed

Today the final side of the house was completed leaving only the front bedroom to be completed. And the windows of course....

Meter box and gas box are both in and porch column is complete.

Building inspection was also completed today and aside from a couple of minor points every thing is good. Must be Christmas!

Bricks almost complete

Dropped in today and the bricks are almost complete so unless there is some disaster they should be completed by next week. Just the front and windows etc to be completed.

Rear completed

Dropped in today and met the brickie- a nice young guy. Pleased to see that there is great progress and the back is completed, they are up to the front rooms and hope to finish by early next week.

The pool paving people called and hope to concrete the beam this Friday and install coping tiles early next week.

This picture is a good candidate for some photo manipulation to see how the finished yard might look with various landscaping options.

A small problem with damage to the frame meaning they can't work on the front bedroom, nothing to worry about as the frame people will be back to fix in a day or so.

Kitchen wall and rear completed

Today the Kitchen was bricked in as was the remainder of the rear wall. We are beginning to wonder if we should have had bigger doors on the rear of the house as it seems a bit closed in. Still very happy with our mortar and brick choice.

living area

Despite a bit of rain today there was good progress again. Have being playing around with photo stitching so here is a wide view of the rear living area taken from the kitchen sink location.

The Castillo bricks show up really well in pictures so it is easy to take good shots of all the pipes and fittings for later reference!

First wall almost complete

Today we found that great progress had been made and almost the entire side wall completed. Looks like the bricks have even been matched and not just put down at random. Hopefully this rate of work will continue and it will be done quickly.

Garage wall complete

Second day of bricking and we think it looks great. Spoke to SS today and he thinks that bricks will be done in about three weeks. Even better they won't be painting the gutters and fascias 'till the very end so we have lots of time to decide on colours. Should be easy to photoshop the gutters in various colours after the bricks are up.
