Gutters have Arrived

Today the gutters arrived. Unpainted zinc coated, we asked about colorbond thinking it would save painting later on- would have been an extra cost item. However the builder did not like the idea as they were worried that if the coating was scratched by a careless contractor the builder would have to repair it. They prefer to use zinc coated metal and paint later, any scratches can be easily touched up before handover. My guess is that the painter gets paid the same weather they do gutters or not. Intersting to see if they paint them before putting them up.

Hopefully the zinc will last as long as color bond.
